The bachelor of science in Recreational Therapy provides the necessary knowledge and skills to practice as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) in a wide range of treatment settings, including physical rehabilitation, mental health, geriatrics, adolescent treatment, adjudicated youth, home-based care, some community programs and more.
This program has the following minimum GPA requirements: 2.00 overall GPA. RCSM 490 Internship may be taken in final senior summer. There are numerous minors and certificates available for RT students that add specialization to the major. Consult with your advisor regarding these additional programs.
