Music Minor

The music minor allows a a student to gain a basic introduction in several areas of music.

MUS 236 - Survey of American Popular Music Traditions 3 Credits
MUS 250 - Music from the Medieval Era through the Seventeenth Century 3 Credits
MUS 300 - The History of Rock 3 Credits
MUS 329 - Music in Africa 3 Credits
MUS 333 - Masterpieces of Classical Music 3 Credits

Music Performance:

MUS 272(A-G;I-O,Q-R,T-U) - Individual Performance Study 1 Credits (4 semesters required)

Music Electives:

6 credits chosen to reflect the student’s area of interest and approved by the music advisor.

Note:

The Music Minor is not available to students who have declared any Major from the School of Music.
