African and African American Studies Minor

Required Courses (9 credits):

• AFRI 113 - Foundations of African and African American Studies 3 credits
• AFRI 312 - Socio-Political Development and Change in the African and African American World 3 credits

Electives (12 credits):

Select 12 credits of electives from:

Social Sciences: 6 credits (African and African American Studies, History, Political Science, and Psychology).

Humanities and Fine Arts: 6 credits (African and African American Studies, Art, English, and Music).

Nine of the 12 elective credits must be at the 300 or 400 level. African and African American Studies 250 may be repeated twice for credit toward the minor.
