AET 461 - The Automobile Industry: The First 100 Years


3 credits

Description
Through the lenses of sociology, including such theories as functionalism and conflict theory, 100 years of the automobile industry are explored, focusing on relevant social conditions and events that advanced the automobile industry from inception to the 1990s. Through the medium of student developed presentations, students will share theoretical interpretations of events relevant to the automotive industry, enter into dialogue with their peers, and participate in critiquing fellow student presentations.

Prerequisites
Junior standing or consent of instructor.
