Language Studies Minor

Language studies is an interdisciplinary major designed to equip students with competence in a foreign language and, at the same time, provide them with an understanding of the general nature of human language.

Required courses (21 credits):
18 credits from within the department at the 200-level and above, to include 9 hours at the 300/400 level, and; Additional Requirements:
A minimum 2.5 grade point average in all course work is required for the minor.
At least 9 credit hours of the minor, not counting any placement credit received, must be taken from the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Indiana State University. Language courses may have more than one prefix, but no more than three.
Note:
The Language Studies Minor is not available to students who have declared the Language Studies Major or the Language Studies Teaching Major. |
