Learning Outcomes  

Criminology and criminal justice program offers students a grounding in the scientific, empirical approach to the nature and extent of crime, the causes of crime, and the development of methods designed to effectively prevent and control criminal behavior while achieving justice. The School of Criminology and Security Studies as a liberal arts program rooted in the social sciences and as a professional preparation program in criminal justice administration. 

Directed Electives (6 credits):


Six credits as approved by a faculty advisor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Note:


At least 27 of the 42 credits of criminology and criminal justice courses must be taken at Indiana State University.
