Computer Science Minor

(15 credits)
Students who complete the Computer Science Minor have developed taken (a) a three course sequence in programming, problem solving, and fundamentals of Computer Science, and (b) elective courses in computer science.
Those who complete the minor have a working knowledge of a number of programming languages, understand how computer systems store and use data, and are prepared to learn other programming languages and computer systems as needed for other coursework or in their career.

Computer Science Core (11 credits)
Students must complete the core CS sequence that builds fundamental skills in programming, systems, algorithms, and problem solving. These courses are requirements for most upper-level CS courses. Directed Electives in Computer Science (4 credits)
Complete at least 4 credits of elective courses in Computer Science. Note:
Students who have declared the Computer Science Major cannot declare the Computer Science Minor.
