Learning Outcomes
The Applied Medicine major is designed to ensure that students obtain the required pre-requisites for a professional program in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, or Physical Therapy.
The program emphasizes strong theoretical foundations within each of the areas of applied medicine, as well as critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Note:
Students who complete the Applied Medicine program in the top 10% of their class and meet program requirements are granted an automatic interview into Indiana State University’s AT, PA, PT and OT programs.
Degree Map
This program has the following minimum GPA requirements: 2.00 overall GPA; 2.20 in all Major course work. Two semesters of non-native language may be necessary. Students may need to take a minimum of 13 credit hours of Foundational Studies or elective courses from the 300-400 level offering because of the 45-hour 300/400 level course requirements for graduation.
