This major, when added to the required professional education courses, may be used to qualify for a Senior High-Junior High/Middle School Instructional License which allows the teacher to teach the business curriculum at these grade levels.

Business Education, Information, and Technology 492—3 hrs. is required in the Senior High-Junior High/Middle School professional Education sequence described in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology. Business Education, Information, and Technology 402 is counted as one hour of credit in the student teaching experience.
Licensure Requirements:
- Complete Business Education, Information, and Technology 492 with a grade of C+ or higher;
- Complete all courses in the major with a 2.5 grade point average or higher and achieve a grade point average of 2.5 or higher in all courses taken;
- Complete Business Education, Information, and Technology 307, 317, 320, 336, and 337 with a 2.5 or higher grade point average for this block of courses with no grade lower than a C for each course;
- Complete each course in Phase I, II, and III of the Professional Education sequence with a grade of C or higher and achieve a grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all of these courses;
- Pass Praxis II at the minimum level of competency or higher; and
- Complete student teaching satisfactorily.
