The School of Nursing at Indiana State University admitted their first class of students in September 1963. The School of Nursing consists of both undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate nursing program currently consists of 4 tracks. These tracks include the traditional four-year campus-based baccalaureate degree (BSN), campus based 15 month accelerated 2nd degree (BSN), a fully online LPN to BSN degree, and a fully online RN to BSN nursing degree. Graduate education includes a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Nursing Education. The FNP and Nursing Education concentrations are both available as a Post-Master’s Certificate. Additionally, graduate education offers the Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). All graduate programs and concentrations are offered fully online through distance education.
Admissions into the baccalaureate nursing major is competitive. Admission into ISU is not admission into the nursing major. Additional information is available at https://www.indstate.edu/health/department/son/programs
*Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Indiana State Board of Nursing (ISBN).
