AHS 450 - Gerontology Professional Experience

Description
In this course, students will obtain approval for their Gerontology Practical Experience site from the Gerontology Program Director and submit related documentation, learn about professionalism in the workplace, and reflect on their gerontology practical experience. Students must pass this course to earn a Gerontology Minor.

Prerequisites
AHS 302, AHS 305, AHS 413

Co-requisites
AHS 451 OR an internship/practicum/ fieldwork exp. required for any major can also be applied to the minor,with advance approval of the Gerontology Program Director. The experience must be 80 hours minimum, with a dedicated emphasis on older adults.
