An overview of the skills needed for effective teaching in the health professions. Emphasizes assessment of one’s teaching style and philosophy; the application of selected teaching-learning theories and instructional strategies; and evaluating student performance. Also covers advising and mentoring roles; dealing with problematic students; legal and ethical responsibilities.
