Outcome 1: Appreciation for the Periods and Styles of Art - A thorough knowledge and appreciation for the periods and styles of art and the various and multifaceted social and cultural components that influenced them |
1.1 Major styles, periods, and philosophies of art: Identifies the major styles, periods, and philosophies of art and their relationship to the making of art [NASAD H.XI.C.2]. |
Outcome 2: Theoretical Framework Underpinning of 2-D Art—An understanding of the theoretical framework that is the underpinning of 2-dimensional art and the capacity to communicate it. |
2.1 Elements and vocabulary of art/design: Understands the common elements and vocabulary of art/design and of the interaction of these elements and be able to employ this knowledge in analysis [NASAD H.VIII.B.2b]. |
2.2 Historical achievements, major issues, processes: Gains familiarity with the historical achievements, current major issues, processes and directions in art [NASAD H.VIII.B.1a.(3)]. |
