Electives:
at least 18 credits of directed electives in composition/rhetoric, creative writing, or technical writing, including the culminating experience. Students whose culminating experience is a work of creative writing must take a creative writing workshop in at least two of the following genres: poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction.
Other Requirements:
Reading knowledge of one classical or modern language approved by the Director of Graduate Studies in English. This requirement may be met by completing at the undergraduate level at least 12 credit hours in the language, or by passing a foreign language proficiency examination.
