(57 semester hours minimum)
Completion of the M.S. or M.A. in speech-language pathology (school service personnel) prepares the student to work in both educational and non-educational settings, such as schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, ENT clinics, and private practice. The student who completes this degree will be eligible for the Indiana Standard License as a speech-language-hearing clinician. Five years of experience as a speech-language-hearing clinician in the schools subsequent to the issuance of the Standard License will qualify the student for the Professional License as a speech language-hearing clinician. The program meets the standards for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence and the Indiana Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board’s License.
