(30 credits)
The Electronics and Computer program consists of three concentrations in which applicants can focus their graduate study. The concentrations are Automation and Controls, Information Technology, and Artificial Inteligence and Machine Learning.
Graduate study in electronics and computer technology is designed for persons preparing for career advancement or improvement in automation, information systems, or related support areas.
With a 30 credit hour minimum, the curriculum is intended to provide a rigorous and individualized program that accommodates the previous experiences, education, and interests of degree candidates. For earning a master’s degree, the curriculum sequence includes three program phases concerning the “content,” “application,” and “integration” of related knowledge, theory, and skill.

Content (21 credits):
During this preliminary program phase, students, through completion of 21 credit hours of study, are expected to acquire or improve competencies relating to advanced electronics, industrial control, and computer technology.
Major Concentrations (9 credits):
There are three concentrations in the ECT MS. The Automation concentration is only offered on-campus while the other two, Information Technology and Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning, are both offered online.

Information Technology Concentration: Choose from the following:

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Choose 9 credits as approved by advisor Note: The ECT 661 course is only offered on campus. Please consult with advisor about alternatives to this course. Culminating Experience (3 credits):

Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level. |
