(69 credits)

The purpose of the master’s of science occupational therapy degree is to provide competent health care providers who possess entry-level skills as health care providers, consultants, educators, managers, and advocates for the profession and the consumer. In addition, the program seeks to improve patient access and quality care for rural and underserved populations through interprofessional education. Occupational therapists help people across the lifespan participate in things they want and need to do through therapeutic use of every day activities (occupations). Students are accepted into a full-time cohort once a year, starting in the summer semester. Students enroll in predetermined sequence as outlined in the program of study. The Master’s of Science Occupational Therapy Program requires 69 post-baccalaureate graduate credit hours, of those, 13 credit hours include Level I and II fieldwork experiences.
