The Department of Communication offers accelerated Master’s programs in two concentrations: Public Relations and Media Studies. The 4+1 combines undergraduate and graduate courses in these two concentrations and allow students to complete a Master’s degree in 5 years.
Undergraduate students in communication can choose to begin the senior year at ISU with dual enrollment in both degree programs. In their senior year, students will have provisional graduate admission until the Bachelor’s degree is awarded with a final cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above.

The MA in Communication requires a minimum of 33 credit hours. Students who do not take six (6) credit hours of culminating experience will be required to take 18 credits of electives. |
