Interior Architecture Design Minor
|
|
Return to: Programs
Students minoring in Interior Architecture Design (IAD) can assist in providing design services in furniture and home furnishing stores, building material and supplies dealers, and residential building construction companies, etc. Decoration is a valuable and important element of an interior but is not solely concerned with human interaction or human behavior.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
The IAD minor is open to students who maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average (international students must also have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent) and acceptance is based on a space-available basis. The minor is not an option for IAD majors. Pre-requisites for IAD454 will be waived for students enrolled in the IAD minor program as the IAD454 course focuses on contemporary history and is more pertinent to current design trends. The pre-requisite of ARTH271/272 is only required of IAD majors due to accreditation criteria.
