DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES
The Department of Communication is housed in Erickson Hall. Production facilities include a video laboratory, video editing facilities, and a student-operated radio station, WISU-FM. In addition, there are opportunities in journalism, radio, and television open to graduate student participation.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
The program’s purposes are to provide skill and experiences in asking significant questions about communication and in gathering and processing information to answer these questions, an integrated perspective on the relations among various areas of study in communication, and analytical and critical tools for competent specialization which will lead to either confident entrance into the profession or further graduate study.

The student will not, typically, receive graduate credit when enrolling in undergraduate courses to meet deficiencies.
- Three letters of recommendation are required from college or university faculty who are acquainted with the student’s preparation in the area of study to be pursued in the graduate program.
