The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology offers baccalaureate degree programs in automation and control engineering technology, computer engineering technology, electronics engineering technology, and information technology. Additional department offerings include minors in automation and control engineering technology, electronics technology, and computer engineering technology.

The department is comprised of experienced and professional faculty members who strive to provide a relevant education through innovative educational delivery methods which include the utilization of up-to-date laboratories. The educational environment, competent staff, and modern laboratories produce graduates who can commence careers in a wide variety of professional positions available in electronics, computers, automation and robotics, information technology, and other challenging fields. Graduates also receive instruction in management fundamentals so they have the potential to be promoted into positions of greater responsibility early in their careers.

Articulation agreements are in place for each of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology programs with two-year colleges including Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University, and others. Transfer courses are evaluated on an individual basis for each incoming student. The department also offers a baccalaureate degree-completion program in electronics engineering technology to students in the University’s DegreeLink Program. DegreeLink, an extended access degree-completion program, enables students who have earned credit hours and associate degrees from accredited collegiate institutions to transfer credit hours, as a block or on a course-by-course basis, to baccalaureate degree programs. The remainder of the degree is completed through distance course offerings. See the DegreeLink Program description in this Catalog.
