APN 614 - Psychiatric Mental Health Diagnosis and Management I5 Credits This course examines diagnostic reasoning and management of mental health disorders throughout the lifespan. Emphasis is on social determinates of health, cultural, ethical, behavioral, and diagnostic data. Neuroscientific principles and current DSM version will be applied. Practicum provides experience in the role and scope of the PMHNP in various settings.
Prerequisites APN 610 & APN 611
Co-requisites APN 613
Restrictions Admission to the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program/certificate in the School of Nursing or consent of course instructor.
