CS 617 - Data Mining

3 Credits

The course will cover the tools, the goals, and the stages of the Data Mining process. Central topics will include the stream data model, similarity measurement, link analysis, and clustering. Selected Data Mining applications will be investigated. Examples may include recommendation systems, on-line advertising, and market basket analysis.

Prerequisites
CS 401 or CS 501, successful completion or concurrent enrollment in CS 600
