Deals with the scope of addiction, current theories, and best practice treatment. Overview of the causes of addiction disorders, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and the disparities of treatment. Emphasis on applying addiction prevention and treatment models with diverse (and rural) populations.

Admitted to the College of Graduate & Professional Studies or consent of the instructor.
