ELED 681 - Literacy Assessment

3 Credits

The course will examine the theory and practice of assessing literacy, with a specific focus on the support of children experiencing difficulty with reading. Students will explore the underlying belief systems that shape assessment, literacy development, and the reading process. Participants will examine and practice a variety of assessment strategies and instruments with focus on the impact of teaching for diversity, the infusion of technology, and current and classic literature.
