This one-credit course serves as an introduction to Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for alcohol and other substance use. Students will gain knowledge and skills in best practices of screening and brief intervention. Motivational interviewing (MI) will also be introduced during use of the SBIRT process.
