The musical cultures of the West from their roots in the ancient world and early Middle Ages to the full growth of polyphony in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance.

Prerequisites
MUS 350 or consent of instructor.

Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
