  • ELED 457 - Elementary and Special Education Capstone


    3 credits

    Description
    ELED 457, coupled with the final field experience of student teaching, is the culminating experience preceding professional teacher certification, This course meets the Foundation Studies Integrative Upper Division Elective, Students will demonstrate their ability, through a teacher work sample, to apply knowledge and skills within and across the fundamental ways of knowing, This narrative explains specific aspects of the course that meet the goals of the Foundational Studies Program.

    Prerequisites
    Concurrent enrollment with ELED 451, 453, and admission to BCP II.

     

    Restrictions
    Upper Division Electives require 45 earned credit hours or more at time of registration.

  • ENG 313 - New Media Writing


    3 credits

    Description
    Composing narratives, blogs, and arguments while also producing new media arguments with memes, videos, websites, and visual narratives for online writing environments. This course uses a rhetorical approach that helps students learn how to critically examine both textual and visual arguments and asks students to create a variety of texts found in online spaces.

    Prerequisites
    A. ENG 101 and 105 (ACT <20; SAT <510) or, B. ENG 107 or 108 (ACT 20 or higher; SAT 510 or higher) or, C. SAT Verbal score of 650 or above (or an ACT Verbal score of 29 or above) and completion of the University Honors curriculum (GH 101 and GH 201).

    Restrictions
    Successful completion of 45 credits of course work

    Note
    A laptop computer is required for this course.
