Organizational Leadership and Learning

Students who complete the Organizational Leadership and Learning Certificate Program have the knowledge and skills required for effective teaching in community colleges, industry, and the military. Competencies designed into the program focus on curriculum and instruction for face-to-face and on-line settings. Core concepts include design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of education, instruction, and training activities that meet the Association for Educational Communications and Technology standards. The Organizational Leadership and Learning Certificate Program is a project-based program. Students gain knowledge and skills in curriculum, instruction, and media technology through experiential learning.

Required Courses:
This certificate prepares students for careers as leaders in the areas of organizational development, coaching, team building, and developing human resources.
Note:
Students who completed a 400-level equivalent of the required 500-level courses must substitute those courses from the following list: HPT 597, HRD 568, HRD 580, HRD 588, or HRD 679.
