Degree Map
The Applied Medicine major is designed to ensure that students obtain the required pre-requisites for a professional program in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, or Physical Therapy.
The program emphasizes strong theoretical foundations within each of the areas of applied medicine, as well as critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Electives are based on professional program entry requirements at ISU post baccalaureate. Courses with a √ are required for entry into the ISU professional program in PT, *PA, ± OT, ¥ DC; courses with ℓ and not required but beneficial upon entry; courses with Ω May be required as pre-requisites at some institutions. Students who complete these programs with a 3.2 overall GPA, have a successful interview and in the top 10% of their graduating cohort will be allowed direct entry into Indiana State University’s programs in PA, PT and OT. Degree Map
This program has the following minimum GPA requirements: 2.00 overall GPA; 2.20 in all Major course work. Two semesters of non-native language may be necessary. Students may need to take a minimum of 13 credit hours of Foundational Studies or elective courses from the 300-400 level offering because of the 45-hour 300/400 level course requirements for graduation. |
