This program is specific to students who currently hold a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and want to progress their education to a Bachelor Science of Nursing (BSN). Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX-RN).

Required Prerequisite Support Courses (22-26 credits):
Required prerequisite courses at a community college, university setting, or obtained through credit by examination and may be brought in as transfer courses.
Progression in the nursing program is dependent upon meeting the nursing course prerequisites identified in the course descriptions. Consultation with the academic advisor regarding the individual student’s program of study is strongly recommended.
Required Support Courses for the Major (9 credits):
These courses may be taken at a community college or university or obtained through credit by exam. C grade or better is required in all support courses.
Indiana State University’s priority date for filing the FAFSA is April 15. Students must earn 30 credit hours each academic year in order to maximize financial aid from the state of Indiana.
