Language studies is an interdisciplinary major designed to equip students with competence in a foreign language and, at the same time, provide them with an understanding of the general nature of human language.
Required courses (21 credits):
18 credits from within the department at the 200-level and above, to include 9 hours at the 300/400 level, and;
A minimum 2.5 grade point average in all course work is required for the minor.
At least 9 credit hours of the minor, not counting any placement credit received, must be taken from the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Indiana State University.
