Research:
MATH 695 must be taken for at least 3 credits. Mathematics Core
The mathematics core consists of four of the following courses (12 credits). Electives:
18 credits approved by the department. Culminating Experience:
Successful completion of an oral examination on the student’s research project administered in MATH 695 by the student’s graduate faculty committee. Note:
At least one-half of the credit hours must be in courses numbered 600 or above.
At most one of MATH 510, 512, and 513 will count toward the 33 hours required for the degree. Note:
Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level. |
