Students who complete the Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology for Higher Education and Industry Certificate Program have the knowledge and skills required for effective teaching in community colleges, industry, and the military. Competencies designed into the program focus on curriculum and instruction for face-to-face and on-line settings. Core concepts include design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of education, instruction, and training activities that meet the Association for Educational Communications and Technology standards. Applicants must offer proof of a bachelor degree and a grade point average of 2.7 or higher from an accredited college or university. International applicants should have a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 79 (iBT) with subscores of at least 21 for Reading, 16 for Listening, 18 for Speaking, and 24 for Writing. The Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology for Higher Education and Industry Certificate Program is a project-based program. Students gain knowledge and skills in curriculum, instruction, and media technology through experiential learning.
