Public Administration Minor

The public administration minor is open to all majors interested in a managerial career with local, state, and federal governments. A designated faculty member serves as the advisor of all public administration minors. Political science majors who opt for a minor in public administration must complete a minimum of 45 credits of political science courses. All pre-service students are recommended to take an undergraduate internship in a government agency.

Public Administration Core (15 credits):

PSCI 201 - Introduction to American Politics 3 credits
PSCI 245 - Political Inquiry 3 credits
PSCI 305 - State and Local Government 3 credits
PSCI 330 - Introduction to Public Administration 3 credits
PSCI 409 - The United States Congress 3 credits

Electives (6 credits):

Approved public administration, political science, or cognate courses, including internship options.
