Language Studies Major

Required courses (7 credits):

• LLL 200 - Introduction to Language and Culture for Students of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics 3 credits
• LLL 400 - Senior Project for Students of Language Studies 1 credits

Electives (30 credits):

21 credits at the 300/400 level from within the Languages Literatures and Linguistics Department.

9 credits at the 200-level or above from within the Languages Literatures and Linguistics Department.

NOTE: All electives must be approved by an advisor in the department.

Other Requirement:

An applied experience component within the 37 hours of the major. May consist of:

a) A minimum six semester credits of appropriate study abroad

                        Or

b) A minimum three semester credits in Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics 409 in an approved internship.

•A minimum over all 2.5 grade point average in departmental course work.
