Technology Management Major

Required courses for freshmen or transfer students without an approved technical associate of science or an associate of applied sicence degree:

Electronics and Computer Technology (3 credits):


Health, Safety, and Environmental Health Sciences (6 credits):

Additional requirements (18 credits):


Indiana State University minor in a technical area or an approved technical concentration plus technical electives to complete this block of at least 18 credit hours.

Directed Foundational Studies (7 credits):

Degree completion requirements for transfer students with an associate of science from a regionally accredited college in a related technical area

This option is designed primarily to be a degree completion program that articulates with regionally accredited associate of science degree programs in industrial and engineering technology related areas. This degree completion option includes all course work for satisfying Indiana State University graduation requirements.

Directed electives (21 credits):


This block will be used to complete at Indiana State University those program faculty approved courses necessary to comply with the ATMAE accreditation standards of:  

  • 24–36 credits in approved technical courses
  • 12–24 credits in approved management courses
  • Six–18 credits in approved physical science courses
  • Six–18 credits in mathematics and statistics
  • 18–36 credits in approved Foundational Studies courses 

After the requirements above are addressed, Indiana State University elective courses can be used to complete the block.

Remaining Foundational Studies as per ISU Policy (15 credits):


Junior level composition 3 credits (see Foundational Studies Program)

Ethics and social responsibility 3 credits (see Foundational Studies Program)

Upper division integrative electives 9 credits (see Foundational Studies Program)

or


Degree completion requirements for transfer students with an associate of applied science from a regionally accredited college in a related technical area (48 credits plus Foundational Studies)

This option is designed primarily to be a degree completion program that articulates with regionally accredited associate of applied science degree programs in industrial and engineering technology related areas. Any Indiana State University required major or Foundational Studies lower-level course work not completed in the associate of applied science degree must be completed before graduation from this degree program.
