As a part of the ISU Foundation, the Indiana State University Alumni Association establishes programs to promote a positive relationship between the alumni and the University and to represent the interests of alumni on campus.

The Alumni Association provides services for over 75,000 graduates and former students of Indiana State. The organization is governed by a 30-member board of directors who are elected by alumni of the University on a geographic and demographic basis. The Alumni Board of Directors is responsible for nominating two of the nine members of the University’s Board of Trustees.

Alumni are informed of University and alumni matters through The Indiana State University Magazine, Alumni Update, and the ISU Alumni Association electronic newsletter. The student alumni association, known as the Sycamore Ambassadors, is sponsored by and works with the Alumni Association. Sycamore Ambassador student representatives serve as a link between students and alumni.
