Psychology Major

Required Psychology 31 credits minimum:

Complete the following with a minimum grade of C:

• PSY 101 - General Psychology: Understanding Human Behavior 3 credits
• PSY 150 - Careers in Psychology 1 credits
• PSY 201 - Introduction to Research Methods in Psychology 3 credits
• PSY 375 - Statistics in Psychology 3 credits
• PSY 376 - Advanced Research and Writing 3 credits

Directed Electives (9 credits):

Any courses offered in the Department of Psychology.

Culminating Experience (3 credits):

Complete one of the following courses with a minimum grade of C:

• PSY 484 - Field Work in Psychology 3 credits
• PSY 486 - Research in Psychology 3 credits
• PSY 499T - Honors Thesis 3-6 credits

Note:

At least 18 credits of psychology courses must be taken from Indiana State University.
