MATH 612 - Commutative Algebra3 credits
A course in commutative rings and their modules. Topics will be chosen from the following: local rings and localization, the Jacobson radical, submodules and quotient modules, direct sums and products of modules, chain conditions and Noetherian and Artinian rings, homology.
Prerequisites
MATH 412 or 512.
