PE 485 - Data Processing in the Sport Sciences 3 credits
Description Specialized data processing applications in the sport sciences utilizing microcomputer graphics packages, EXCEL spreadsheets, development of PowerPoint presentation materials consisting of compressed digital sports videos, and the creation of digital instructional movies using authoring software. Students will develop FORTRAN programs that create, manipulate, analyze exercise science data for applications involving body composition determinations, strength profiling, fitness assessment, and exercise prescription.
Note Placement of interns or practicum participants is conditional on the availability of internships and the University assumes no absolute responsibility to place each and every student in an internship or practicum.
