Civil engineering is the discipline of designing, constructing, and maintaining the built environment and infrastructure that supports society, including projects like roads, bridges, dams, buildings, and water systems. Civil engineers apply scientific and mathematical principles to solve practical problems, focusing on creating safe, sustainable, and functional structures that improve people’s lives and address environmental concerns. Civil engineering is the application of physical and scientific principles for solving the problems of society, and it is intricately linked to advances in the understanding of physics and mathematics. the civil engineering is a broad profession, including several specialized sub-disciplines such as structures, materials science, geography, geology, soils, hydrology, environmental science, and other fields among which this program is focused on environmental aspect of this field.

This program has the following minimum GPA requirements: 2.00 overall GPA. Program may not be able to fall under the Sycamore Graduation Guarantee, depending upon student preparation.
