Students in the Sport Management program can expect to experience both academic and practical experiences to prepare them to be successful professionals when entering the sport management industry.  This program provides students skills to be successful in a variety of areas and the opportunity to develop specific industry skills.

Sport Management

Foundational Core (30 credits):

  • Minimum of 54 hours in Sport Management courses which includes any and all courses listed in SPM curriculum 

Professional Core (9-21 credits):

Sport Management students will be required to register for the culminating internship experience (SPM 490 - Sport Management Internship). 

Career Path (minimum 15 credits):

Complete a minor from the following options (min 15 credit hours):

Athletic Team Management, Sport Administration & Commerce, Sport Facility & Event Management, Sport for Recreation, Sport Marketing & Revenue Generation or other minor as approved by Sport Management faculty in consultation with primary advisor.
