Nursing Major - Baccalaureate Track for Students Entering with L.P.N./L.V.N. Licensure

Learning Outcomes  

This track is specific to students who currently hold a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and want to progress their education to a Bachelor Science of Nursing (BSN). Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX-RN).

Admissions into the baccalaureate nursing major is competitive. Admission into ISU is not admission into the nursing major. *Accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and Indiana State Board of Nursing.

Required Prerequisite Support Courses (19-23 credits):


Required prerequisite courses at a community college, university setting, or obtained through credit by examination and may be brought in as transfer courses. C grade or better is required in all of the following prerequisite support courses.

Note:


Progression in the nursing program is dependent upon meeting the nursing course prerequisites identified in the course descriptions. Consultation with the academic advisor regarding the individual student’s program of study is strongly recommended.

These courses may be taken at a community college or university or obtained through credit by exam. C grade or better is required in all support courses.
