Music Minor

The music minor allows a a student to gain a basic introduction in several areas of music.

MUS 250 - Music from the Medieval Era through the Seventeenth Century 3 Credits
MUS 300 - The History of Rock 3 Credits
MUS 329 - Music in Africa 3 Credits
MUS 333 - Masterpieces of Classical Music 3 Credits

Music Performance:

MUS 178 - (A-G, I-O, Q-R and T-U) Individual Performance Study for Freshmen Music Majors 1 Credits
(2 semesters required)
MUS 272(A-G;I-O,Q-R,T-U) - Individual Performance Study 1 Credits (2 semesters required)

Music Electives:

6 credits chosen to reflect the student’s area of interest and approved by the music advisor.

The Music Minor is not available to students who have declared any Major from the School of Music.
