Learning Outcomes  

(42 credits)

The anthropology major offers students the opportunity to study the human experience in both past and present contexts via archaeology, human biology, and language as well as allied fields such as history. The program emphasizes hands-on work such as forensic analysis of human remains, digital mapping, and life history analysis.

Students, in consultation with their advisor, will choose 18 credits from the suggested areas (courses selected can be from one area or from multiple areas). (ENVI 495 can be taken for an additional 3 credits (6 total credits) and count in the directed electives requirements.
