Gerontology is a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the intricate aspects of aging. This minor will provide students with a substantive overview of knowledge, practical field experience, and reflection to prepare for success in working with older adults.
Note: Gerontology Minors are not allowed to also earn a Gerontology Certificate.
or an internship/practicum/fieldwork experience required for a student’s major for a minimum of 80 hours, with a dedicated emphasis on adults aged 65 or older can also be counted toward the Gerontology Minor with advance approval by the Gerontology Program Director.
