Learning Outcomes  

The program leading to a bachelor of science in nursing includes a four-year campus-based traditional program of study combining theory and clinical nursing courses, required support courses, and Foundational Studies courses. The baccalaureate degree is recognized as the basic preparation for professional nursing practice and prepares the graduate as a generalist. Baccalaureate nursing education is foundational for graduate study in nursing.

Students who are admitted to the University with unconditional standing and who have satisfactorily completed all prenursing requirements may apply for admission to the major. The admission, progression, retention, dismissal, and graduation policies may be found at the nursing web site, http://www.indstate.edu/nursing. A grade of C or higher is required on all nursing major requirements and required support courses. After admission to the major a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25 is required.

Required Cognate Courses (28-29 credits)


All prerequisite courses, with the exception of PSY 266 and EPSY 221, must be completed within 10 years of application to this program.
