This program is specific to students who currently hold a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and want to progress their education to a Bachelor Science of Nursing (BSN). Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX-RN).

Required Prerequisite Support Courses (19-23 credits):
Required prerequisite courses at a community college, university setting, or obtained through credit by examination and may be brought in as transfer courses. C grade or better is required in all of the following prerequisite support courses.
C grade or better required in any of the following courses: ENG 101, ENG 105, ENG 107, or any other English composition course. Successful completion of ENG 105 should waive the ENG 101 course requirement within the major. Successful completion of approved associate or baccalaureate degree should waive writing requirement within the major.
Progression in the nursing program is dependent upon meeting the nursing course prerequisites identified in the course descriptions. Consultation with the academic advisor regarding the individual student’s program of study is strongly recommended.

These courses may be taken at a community college or university or obtained through credit by exam. C grade or better is required in all support courses.
