Civil Engineering Technology Major

Student Outcomes  

Civil Engineering Technology provides students with the opportunity to examine and interpret prints and specifications; confer with contractors and owners to enforce contract specifications, building codes, and zoning ordinances; test soils, asphalt, and concrete, and inspect other related construction activities; perform land surveying and CAD; and observe building, highway, and utility construction.

*The Civil Engineering Technology undergraduate program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.

This program has the following minimum GPA requirements: 2.00 overall GPA; 2.00 in all Major course work. Program may not be eligible for Sycamore Graduation Guarantee depending upon student preparation.

    Indiana State University’s priority date for filing the FAFSA is March 1. Students entering in Fall 2013 or later must earn 30 credit hours each academic year in order to maximize financial aid from the state of Indiana.
